We are excited to announce that MagicSchool has offered San Diego Unified an exclusive pilot of their amazing AI platform built specifically for K-12 education. If you choose to participate, your staff and students will be able to access a suite of over 80 specialized AI tools in a safe and secure "walled-garden" environment from February until the end of June.

Clever Login Page Changes on February 3, 2026

Effective Tuesday, February 3, 2026 the Clever Portal login page will be updated to have a new look and feel. Please note that this is only a change to the way the page looks. Students, teachers, and district staff will continue to access the Clever Portal as they currently do.

You do not need to do anything in order to prepare for this change. Please just reassure your students, teachers, and staff that this is the official Clever Portal login page, it just looks a little different.

CaliforniaColleges.edu is Now Available in Clever

The CaliforniaColleges.edu platform is now available for middle and high school students in the Clever Portal. This platform will streamline the college and financial aid application process for students and provide schools with valuable data to support their efforts. High school students will be able to complete their UC, CSU, and California Community College applications through CaliforniaColleges.edu. In addition, students will submit their financial aid applications (FAFSA/CADAA) via the platform.

Middle and high school students can also benefit by using the platform to explore career interests, set academic goals, and begin planning for high school and beyond. The tools available help students connect their interests to potential career paths and understand the education needed to reach those goals, laying a strong foundation for future planning.

Students at participating schools will automatically be given access to CaliforniaColleges.edu once they are enrolled in PowerSchool. However, please note that teachers and non-teaching staff/administrators will need to have an account created before they can access the platform. Canva for Education is Now Available Districtwide

Canva for Education is now available districtwide. You now have access to create and collaborate on resources like presentations, flyers, videos, and classroom materials. Teachers, staff, and students in grades 2-12 can access the application through the Clever Portal by clicking on the Canva Education tile under Instant Login Applications. Alternatively, all users can also log in directly through www.canva.com or by using the direct login link.

ProQuest Homework Central is Now Available for Teachers and Staff in Clever

Open eBooks is No Longer Available in Clever

Achieve3000 has moved to McGraw Hill for the 2025-26 School Year

Achive3000 has moved to McGraw Hill platform for the 2025-26 School Year. Participating schools will need to access Achieve3000 through the McGraw Hill application in Clever. If your school has a subscription and needs assistance with integrating Achieve3000, please submit a Freshservice ticket by contacting the IT Help Desk at (619) 209-4357. Users can also submit a ticket online at https://sandiegounified.freshservice.com/support/home or by emailing helpdesk@sandi.net.

Lexia English access for newcomer English Learner students

Starting on September 25, 2023, access to Lexia English will be limited to newcomer English Learner students in grades Kindergarten - 2, and teachers who have newcomer students enrolled on their roster. A newcomer is a student who was born in a country other than the United States and has been enrolled in a United States school for 3 years or less, and has an English Language Proficiency Assessments for California (ELPAC) score of 1 (Novice or Minimally Developed).
