Reminder: Commit Deadlines and Commit Date

Reminder: Commit Deadlines and Commit Date Scheduling in PowerScheduler
Posted on 05/11/2026 at 08:00

This is a reminder that schools must schedule their commit date in PowerScheduler and complete the commit process by the published deadlines for the 2026–27 school year. The commit process transfers master course and student schedules from PowerScheduler to PowerSchool for the next school year. Schools are responsible for running their own commit process, including completing all pre-commit validations in advance of their scheduled date. This applies to all elementary and secondary schools. Please review this message in full and share it with staff responsible for scheduling and committing at your site.

Reminder Details:

  • Security Role: The PowerScheduler Commit Administrator role has been configured to grant the necessary permissions to perform the commit and related tasks. Only ONE staff member at each school site should be granted this access. Only the designated staff member assigned this role can schedule a commit for the school.

  • Designated Staff: Each school should designate a staff member responsible for identifying and clearing all validation errors before committing a school schedule. Once designated, assign the new security role to this staff member to proceed with selecting a commit date.

  • Commit Scheduling: If your school has not yet done so, please schedule a commit date as soon as possible. A maximum of 15 commits per day will be allowed, and dates will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Multiple schools may commit simultaneously, and options are available for both Saturdays and Sundays.

  • Commit Deadlines: Please ensure your school completes its commit by the applicable deadline below:

  • All elementary schools, including K-8 schools, must commit their teacher and student schedules by May 29, 2026.

  •  Secondary schools have a deadline of June 18, 2026There will be no exceptions.

  • Navigating to PowerScheduler: On the Start Page, from the left navigation menu, scroll to the bottom and select Applications, then select PowerScheduler.

Please do not wait to select a commit date. Schools should ensure their designated commit administrator has access, all pre-commit validation errors have been reviewed, and a commit date has been reserved before the deadline.

Refer to the Pre-Commit Validations and Commit handbook for guidance on this process. You may also visit Professional Learning and sign up for our General or Master Schedule & Commit Support Open Labs.
