Effective Monday, March 24, 2025, the PowerSchool Summer environment will be available for host sites to begin scheduling tasks for the 2025-26 summer program. As a reminder, PowerSchool Summer will only contain all high school registrations and ESY Eligible students in ECSE and grades 7 – 12. All other enrollments of TK-6 students who registered in the priority window will take place in the Out-of-School Time Tracker application. Additional information is forthcoming from the Extended Learning Opportunities department.

Important reminders:

PowerSchool Summer (https://powerschoolsummer.sandi.net/admin)

  • Summer and ESY registration screens are available as “View-Only.”

  • All students will be “inactive” until Monday, May 19, 2025.  Refer to the Summer School Student List - SS report to identify students tagged for summer. To run this report, select sqlReports, then expand the Summer School reports group.

  • PowerScheduler is available for summer secondary schools to begin schedule building.

  • IT will create school enrollments based on Summer/ESY Registration school assignments done in PowerSchool.

  • Student enrollment and the use of district transfer will be disabled until Monday, May 19, 2025.

  • IMPORTANT! The summer registration screen will close on March 30, 2025, at 4:00 PM. Any student not tagged through summer registration must be manually enrolled and scheduled in PowerSchool Summer by the host summer school starting Monday, May 19, 2025.

  • ESY registration will continue in PowerSchool through May 16, 4:00 PM. Contact Theresa Aviles at [email protected] regarding school placement, enrollment, and transportation.

  • A nightly process will continue to copy ESY Summer School assignments from PowerSchool until May 16.

Summer School/ESY Training

Please check Professional Learning for upcoming training sessions or open labs.

  • Setup sessions are for current HOST School Staff responsible for setting up the Summer/ESY scheduling.

  • Maintenance sessions are for staff HIRED to maintain the Summer/ESY program in the summer school database.
