Posted on 10/20/2025 at 08:00

We’re excited to announce that the IT Department has successfully completed the PowerSchool setup for the 2026–27 school year. As of October 20, 2025, scheduling for next year is officially open!

Students have been articulated to their next school based on current school, grade level, neighborhood school, and boundary exception criteria. Please take a moment to review your student data, especially boundary exceptions, to ensure proper school placement.

Reports to Run for Next Year

Use the following reports in sqlReports, under the Enrollment group to monitor next grade and next school student placements throughout the year:

  • Next Year All Students – All students scheduled to attend your school next year.

  • Next Year Incoming Students – New students joining your school.

  • Next Year Outgoing Students – Students transferring to other schools.

  • Students Who May Be Missing Next School – Students with unknown next school assignments.

Enrollment & Transfer Guidelines

  • Check Your Term Year
Always verify the “Term” in the top-right corner of PowerSchool before processing enrollments. Avoid using multiple tabs with different term years.

  • Do Not Transfer Out Active Students to Pre-Register next school year
Active students will auto-enroll during the End-of-Year Process, at the end of June. Use “Next School” and “Next Grade” to set school placement.

  • Enrolling Students from Other Schools
Use the District Student Search to update “Next School” and “Next Grade.” Demographic student information will be available after End-of-Year.

  • Continuing Students
If a student is continuing at your school, update their “Next School” via the Scheduling Setup page.

  • Students Not Continuing
DO NOT drop students. Instead, set “Next School” to “Not continuing next year” in Scheduling Setup. [Watch tutorial: Not Continuing Next Year (1:45)]

  • Pre-Registering New or Returning Inactive Students
Ensure correct term and entry date. Avoid duplicate IDs by using the District Student Search to check for prior district enrollment.
