2026-27 Enrollment and Re-Registration Online Changes for Schools and Families

As communicated to administrators on Monday, February 23, 2026, the following expectations regarding student enrollment, re-registration, and Parent Portal usage will be implemented beginning with the 2026-2027 academic year:

  • Online registration and re-registration will be the standard for all families.

  • All families are expected to have a PowerSchool Parent Portal account.

  • Paper forms are available only as a last resort, used on a case-by-case basis when a family has a specific barrier that truly prevents online completion.

Moving to Full Online Enrollment & Re‑Registration

Starting with the 2026-2027 school year, all new student enrollments must be completed online through InfoSnap. This includes:

  • Transitional Kindergarten (TK) registration

  • Enrollment for new students in neighborhood K-12 schools

  • Re-enrollment for students who are returning to the district

  • Enrollment for new students offered and accepting seats through School Choice

  • Enrollment for new out-of-district families accepted via School Choice

In addition, Re-registration for active students articulating to the next grade within the district will now occur through the PowerSchool Parent Portal. More information on this new InfoSnap workspace to follow.

Important: Updates to the 2026‑27 Enrollment Form

Starting Monday, March 2, 2026, the following updates will be implemented on PowerSchool’s Demographics Page and enrollment form. As previously mentioned, the enrollment form should only be used as a last resort on a case-by-case basis when a family faces specific barriers preventing online completion.

Revised reference

  • “Facts for Parents” has been updated to Family Resource Guide throughout the form.

Question 9 - Race

  • Includes a new Middle Eastern/North African (MENA) option.

Question 30b - revised language

  • Updated wording to better reflect the intended student group.

Address Validation standard

  • Household mailing addresses will no longer be in all capital letters by default. Instead, the value returned will be based on Google's mapping standards formatted in Proper Case.
